Acupuncture is a traditional form of medicine that is used to stimulate the body’s own healing processes. This is achieved by inserting fine sterile needles into the skin at carefully selected point son the body. Acupuncture has its roots in Chinese, Japanese and South-East Asian cultures and has been practised for over 2,000 years. In the Western World, Acupuncture is a widely recognised practice which people choose to prevent ill health, resolve or reduce a wide variety of medical conditions or specific symptoms, or to maintain good health in general.
At Mandarin Clinic we offer two types of Acupuncture:-
- Acupuncture to support General Conditions – headaches and migraine, depression and anxiety, stress conditions, fatigue, asthma, hay fever, coughs and colds, parkinson’s disease and other neurological conditions. General Acupuncture can also be focused on balancing the stressful demands of life and assisting a person towards choosing a healthier lifestyle. Many of our patients use Acupuncture to assist with work/life balance.
- Acupuncture to support Fertility, Pregnancy and Women’s Health – as the process of fertility treatment can be taxing on both the body and the mind, Acupuncture can help alleviate stress and worry and encourage calmness. Our acupuncturists have vast experience to support natural or assisted fertility cycles, recurrent miscarriage, pregnancy and pregnancy related symptoms. Acupuncture also supports women’s health issues, such as menopause, menstrual problems, endometriosis, PCOS and more.
I contacted Petra at Mandarin Clinic for acupuncture treatment. I am a GP and had never had acupuncture before. As soon as I sat in the colourful reception, I couldn’t help but notice the credible qualifications and thank you cards hanging on the wall. One practitioner had just won an Excellence Prize. Mandarin Clinic displays confidence; it is obvious they are passionate about their work. Petra is very gentle, patient and extremely knowledgeable. I am so glad I discovered this clinic through the British Acupuncture Council website.
Thanks for getting back to me ASAP and thanks for sorting out my painful Achilles tendon. I said I wanted to run another Marathon and I did! I will come back and try the Medical Qigong – see if it prevents the same thing happening.
My acupuncture appointments were a lifetime for me in my path to pregnancy. The time to focus on me, both body and spirit, always left me uplifted and gave me hope when times were tough. Petra was a calm and supportive influence at all times and the clinic is relaxed and friendly. I firmly believe that Petra and the acupuncture I received helped me to become a mother at last to my two gorgeous twin boys.
